Stuttered Speech

I stutter, speaking
in a language accessible only to
those who feel like me,
an unbalanced combination
of fear, laughter, pain, and love
topped off with your
special ingredient, humiliation,
but you will never eat that which you cooked
so thoroughly,
since I will never bother you
with my words again.

  1. I can relate to this. It has taken me a life time to get my speech where it is today. I am nervous I am going to give a reading of some of my poetry at the end of this month. I am worried that I will not get through it. But I am going to give it a good try. I want to do it to prove something to myself. Deep meaningful words keep going you will succeed
